The t-shirt that got away…

Last night while browsing the web one of the algorithms showed me the perfect t-shirt for me, I immediately tracked it down and purchased it.

T-Shirt

The t-shirt I'm talking about is a fluorescent yellow Soulwax t-shirt made specifically for their appearance at Pukkelpop Festival. On the front it says Soulwax on the right breast. On the back it reads Drugs Dirty Dancing & Pounding Pounding Techno Music.

The back of a bright yellow t-shirt in black writing are the words: Drugs Dirty Dancing & Pounding Pounding Techno Music

Track

The reason that this t-shirt immediately made me by it is because of a track. In 2017 I went with friends to see Orbital, who had just got back together for the second time, at Standon Calling. When they had finished Phil Hartnoll from Orbital was DJing in a wood and he dropped this track that I had not heard before, which was absolutely incredible.

After a bit of research I discovered that it was Theme From Discotheque by Samantha Fu. If you search Samantha Fu you'l find that there are no other tracks by them and this is because it is a 2001 side-project from Soulwax.

Sample

This track contains a sample:

Do you know where your teenager is at five o' clock in the morning?
The after hours club.
The clubs attract thousands of Chicago area young people.
Some say they come looking drugs, dirty dancing, and pounding, pounding Techno music.

Which came from a news story on ABC 7 Chicago News about Club XL after hours club in Chicago which closed in February 2001.

Problem

Once I had bought the t-shirt I got an email telling me that here is the code for me to pick it up from Pukkelpop festival. I have messaged my friends in Belgium to see if they know anyone who is attending that may be able to help. I have successfully been able to cancel the order, but I really want this t-shirt.
