This weekend I performed at my first ever festival, with my friend Steve aka Filter Sequence.

Boho Festival

Boho Festival is a small (about 500 people) intimate weekend festival, just outside Nottingham at Millview Glamping & Events.

I arrived at 12:00 on the Friday Lunchtime, once I had received my wristband (more on that soon) I was told to drive into the festival, when I arrived at the entrance to the car park, I was asked if I needed to unload. They then allowed me to drive my car to the campsite to unload and set up my tent, this is definitely not possible at any festival larger than this. Once I'd finished erecting my tent and setting up, I drove my car back to the car park. My car was still less than 50 meters from my tent.

Wristband

This is the first time that I have officially been an artist at a festival. In 2010 I was on a stage at Bestival in an Air Guitar Competition (where I beat an eight year old child), I won a paint brush.

This time I was officially an artist and performing with Filter Sequence.

Friday Line-Up

Disco Yurt

Out of this line up I saw:

  • Bent - I really enjoyed these, I know they had supported Orbital at Brixton Academy in 2004, but I was in the pub with the Loopz people trying to get added to the guest-list for their last ever show.
  • The Farm - They enjoyed themselves more that I did.
  • Jemma Bolt b2b Woody Cook - They played an excellent set, very energetic and Woody's enthusiasm was incredible. If you get the chance to see him do it.
  • Utah Saints - A DJ set they were great and the set list was amazing, I just feel that they need to reduce the number of tracks and play them longer, Cowgirl by Underworld is not 3 minutes long.

Filter Sequence

This was the third time that I got to perform with Filter Sequence. At the beginning I was very nervous but this soon went away when I started dancing to Acid House.

It was a great privilege to be part of Steve's show and I look forward to the next time in Camden at Dublin Castle, 16 October 2026, when we support Sunscreem.
